Dine At The Fat Duck, Top Restaurant In The World

The Fat Duck restaurant opened in 1995 & located at bray, west of London is run by Chef Heston Blumenthal .It is rated as one of the best restaurants to dine in the world. The chef is popular for the preparation of un-usual dishes as he applies science with cooking. Every preparation seems to have been experimented in the Laboratory with the guidance of Chef. Mostly, the delicacies preferred by the diners is snail porridge, snail jelly & mustard or bacon ice-cream.

The other liked items present in the menu are Lime Mousse,beetroot or orange jelly, fruit jelly,oyster,quail jelly, roast foe grass, sardine on toast sorbet, egg ice cream, smoked bacon, caviar & poached breast. The beetroot & orange jelly are used as starters before the menu is ordered. A typical menu will have 30 courses starting for the Jellies and ending with the desserts.

On any Single day, the restaurant can serve more than 80 customers. A single menu will cost something between 120 to 200 pounds. Wine matched to menu cost extra that come around 90 to 195 pounds. The interior of the restaurant gives a relaxed ambience having a low beamed ceiling, soft furnishings & paintings on the walls. In total there are 15 tables available for dining. A dinner at the Fat duck will last more than 3 hours.

Another interesting about this restaurant is one dines with a multi media experience. That means your ears gets plugged with ipods that plays the sound of waves & seagulls making one feel that they are near to a seashore. So you can enjoy the Prawns, oysters while listening to sound of the sea. This gives a different experience making you feel entirely out of this world. The poaching of lime mousse with green tea is done with a canister of liquid nitrogen.

The present menu now includes lime mousse, nitro green tea along with smoked bacon, poached salmon & mango puree. The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday for Lunch at 12 pm & one can have dinner there from 7 pm onwards. The Restaurant is closed only on Monday. Make sure to do advance reservations by calling to their phone lines during their official hours that is from 10 am to 5pm.It requires the credit card details to make the reservations.
