Invention of fire as boon and bane

We all know that fireworks have been around since a lojng time and the Chinese do get the credit for inventing it. However, who was the person who can be credited with the invention of the fireworks? When the Chinese alchemist was working on some chemicals by error they discovered that when some chemicals combined in a certain manner they were able to explode with great force and create a loud sound too. This was the start.

So, who invented fireworks? It was not until the times of Marco Polo and his return to Europe after his voyage to Asia that fireworks gained prominence. If the invention of fireworks were to be accredited to one nationality, than it could be the Italians. They were the first to go about developing it properly with sounds, colors and different ways that they could be fired up in the sky.

With fireworks people began to contemplate using it for other purposes. Then, came about the use of gunpowder for several purposes. This is used in cannons and rifles by mixing several substances to be able to get a compound that burns quickly. Who invented gunpowder? This can be attributed to a Chinese called Wei Boyang. He was able to get this by the use of certain compounds and mix them together to create a minor blast with a sound and flame. This was the very first use of gunpowder. After that there was no looking back. Man began to use gunpowder in several ways and you can see its use around in the kind of destruction it can cause.
